It's hard as a tech guru to castigate my-own field, but if left unsaid then it will breed a culture of laziness and shortcuts. We have had some great advantages and developments in the technology aspect of life it has made our lives seem easier and communication faster, even problem solving appears to be quicker and accurate. But is it, it seems we really trust what we read online or on social media more than what we read in the Bible or Qur'an. People have now become hooked on this new development of technology so much so that if you don't have an app for something there is no development. Even the modern day farmer is now hooked on this. They need an App for Seeds, an App for Soil an App for rain. What happened to good old Hard Work, where by one would really be on the ground to see changes and developments rather than follow a programmed set of instructions. If there is one power which Humans have which no machine or anything can ever posses is the ability to learn. Everyday when a person works up, its different from the previous day every single day a person meets new challenges and quickly learns the situations, adopts or changes. But this development of trusting technology defies this and rather gives people a set of instructions which are not even custom to all aspects of being. You may find we are from different background different blood types and different built and we trust the same weight losing app. Its time to go back to the basics and employ technology scientifically rather than being managed scientifically by technology. We have become prisoner of our own making more than 70% of our time is taken by social media. It diverts the Status Quo to the Social Status. Its now about updating your status online rather than upgrading your own status. In Zimbabwe most youth are caught up in this sphere, they have lost there creative imagination of employing basic problem solving techniques and are relegated to employing technologies which are not even for a country in our state, things like UBER a taxi service, this is a service for a fully functional developed country which has got a good taxi system. In Zimbabwe taxis are playing cat and mouse game with the local authorities and most of them have decided not to brand as taxis. Our problems are basic and need basic technologies we have a lot of grass growing everywhere, the only thing needed are grass cutters. No application can ever cut grass. My advice is drop what you think you know and start learning, open your eyes Solve problems before you before you think of solving bigger challenges.
